DARK HOLLOW WALLOW 11M, 5M, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Races Start: 11M and 5M races start at 2:00 pm.
• KIDS RACE: Starts at 1:30 pm.
• Location: Starts/finishes at Big Ridge State Park on state highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• 11M Course: The eleven mile course delves into long forgotten, mud-slogged crevasses thought to be haunted by haints, demons, banshees, phantoms, and poltergeists.
• Hills: There be hills, including one particularly memorable one on the long course.
• 5M Course: A shorter but similarly challenging and equally unforgettable five-mile course will also be offered.
• Kids Trail Mile: Will precede the main race at 1:30 pm.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

• Fees: Registration fees apply: KTC member discount accepted.
• Membership: Not a member of KTC? Sign up here!
• Bundle Deals: Sign up online for 7 for $109 Season Pass or Kids 7 for $29 Kids Pass bundle deals and SAVE BIG! Trail Series Bundle Expires June 1.
• T-shirts: Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series.

GRAND PRIX POINTS

• Points Awarded: Full points (i.e., 100, 90, etc.) will be awarded for the 11 Miler.
• Half Points: Half points (i.e., 50, 45, etc.) will awarded for the 5 Miler.
• TTT SERIES AWARDS: Top 3 in each division will receive free race entries.
• Additional Drawing: Two lucky runners get a pair of shoes, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Runners Market.

• Availability: Results will be available on this RunSignup page.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to volunteers.
• Regulations: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course.

SAFETY

• Aid Stations: Aid and water stations will be provided, but runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Medication: We recommend runners sensitive to insect stings or bites carry their own medication.
• Training: Do some pre-race training offroad.
• Good Time: We want you to have a good time.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Policy: Runners under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult to run the adult race.
• Pace Policy: Enforcement of the 18:00/mile minimum pace will be in place.
• Course Sweeper: Each race will have a sweeper for runners not maintaining pace.
• Time Management: This policy is to keep our volunteers in the woods for the least amount of time.

BIB POLICY

• No Bibs: Don’t take a bib if you’re not running to ensure safety.
• Drop Out Notice: Please inform race officials if you drop out of the race.
• Bib Care: Don’t crunch or fold your bib: we need it unspoiled to record your time.
