DARK HOLLOW WALLOW 11M, 5M, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Races Start: 11M and 5M races start at 2:00 pm.
• KIDS RACE: Starts at 1:30 pm.
• Location: Starts/finishes at Big Ridge State Park on state highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Coursed Parameters: The eleven mile course delves into long forgotten, mud-slogged crevasses thought to be haunted by haints, demons, banshees, phantoms, and poltergeists.
• Terrain Features: There be hills, including one particularly memorable one on the long course.
• Shorter Option: A shorter but similarly challenging and equally unforgettable five-mile course will also be offered.
• Kids Trail Mile: Will precede the main race at 1:30 pm.

• No Refunds: Registration fees above, KTC member discount accepted.
• Membership: Not a member of KTC? Sign up here!
• Special Registration: Sign up online for 7 for $109 Season Pass or Kids 7 for $29 Kids Pass bundle deals.
• Bundle Deals: Trail Series Bundle Expires June 1.

T-SHIRTS

• Exclusive Design: Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series.
• Distribution Policy: One shirt per runner PER SEASON only.
• Donation Impact: Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies available to donate to trail-friendly causes.
• Event Consistency: This is the same shirt as at all other Treadin’ Trodden Trails races.

GRAND PRIX POINTS

• Points System: Full points (i.e., 100, 90, etc.) will be awarded for the 11 Miler.
• Half Points: Half points (i.e., 50, 45, etc.) awarded for the 5 Miler.
• Awards: Top 3 in each division will receive free race entries.
• Lucky Draw: Two lucky runners will have a chance to win a pair of shoes, thanks to Runners Market.

SAFETY

• Medical Assistance: Aid and water stations will be provided, but runners are encouraged to carry their own water.
• Health Preparedness: Anyone sensitive to insect stings or bites should carry their own medication.
• Training Recommendation: We urge everyone to do some pre-race training offroad for experience.
• Conduct Policy: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct.

RESULTS

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Requirement: A runner under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the adult race.
• Pace Enforcement: Enforcing the 18:00/mile minimum pace for all races.
• Course Sweeper: Each race will have a sweeper: be mindful of your pace.
• Accountability: Don’t take a bib if you’re not running: please inform race officials if you drop out.
