🏁 DARK HOLLOW WALLOW 11M, 5M, and Kids Trail Mile

🕒 TIME & PLACE

• Race Start: 11M and 5M races start at 2:00 pm
• Kids Race: Starts at 1:30 pm
• Location: Big Ridge State Park on state highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville

📍 COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Distance: The eleven mile course delves into long forgotten, mud-slogged crevasses thought to be haunted by haints, demons, banshees, phantoms, and poltergeists.
• Hills: There be hills, including one particularly memorable one on the long course.
• Short Course: A shorter but similarly challenging and equally unforgettable five-mile course will also be offered.
• Kids Trail Mile: Will precede the main race at 1:30 pm.

👕 T-SHIRTS

• Limited Edition: Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series.
• Same Design: This is the same shirt as at all other Treadin’ Trodden Trails races.
• One Per Runner: One shirt per runner PER SEASON please.
• Support Causes: Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies we are able to donate to trail friendly causes.

🏆 GRAND PRIX POINTS

• Full Points: Full points (i.e., 100, 90, etc.) will be awarded for the 11 Miler.
• Half Points: Half points (i.e., 50, 45, etc.) awarded for the 5 Miler.
• TTT Series Awards: This year we'll be awarding the top 3 in each division free race entries.
• Shoes Drawing: A drawing for two lucky runners to win a pair of shoes, thanks to Runners Market.

📝 RESULTS

• Available Online: Results will be available on this RunSignup page at the Results link.

🔒 COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to volunteers.
• No Gear: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course due to insurance regulations.

⚠️ SAFETY

• Aid Stations: Aid and water stations will be provided, but we urge all runners to carry their own water: only very small cups will be provided.
• Medications: We recommend carrying any personal medication for insect stings or bites.
• Pre-Race Training: We urge everyone to do some pre-race training offroad, as there is no substitute for experience.
• Age Restrictions: If a runner is under 12 years old, he or she will need to be accompanied by an adult to run the adult race.

🚷 BIB POLICY

• Do Not Take a Bib: If you are not running, please do not take a bib, as it is safety-related.
• Accountability: If you have to drop out of the race, please let one of the race officials know so you are accounted for.
• Untouched Bib: Don't crunch or fold the bib or tear off the bottom.

• Opportunities: Volunteer positions can be found and selected on the respective race page on Runsignup.com.
• No Experience Needed: No experience is necessary and volunteering can be even more fun than running.
• Grand Prix Rankings: Volunteerism is required for placement in the Grand Prix Rankings.
