📝 Race Director's Note

Due to the increases in our Country in many of the expenses involved in this event (t-shirts, screen charges, medals, trophy parts, safety personnel etc...) we are forced to have to increase our registration prices. For 35 years I have tried to price my events reasonable or in line with (usually lower) than surrounding events and we still are lower with this event than surrounding half-marathon's on Delmarva. 🏃 Race Course

• Sunday's 5k: Grove Park course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth.
• 1 mile Fright Walk: will start with the 5k and do an out & back on Henlopen Avenue.

🍝 Pasta Dinner Option & Packet Pickup

• Packet Pick-up: on Friday, October 25th from 4-6 pm.
• Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant: invites all runners to pre-race carb load from 4-6 pm as Irish Eyes has several pasta dinner options on their menu.

📜 Silent Auction

The Grove Park Running/Walking Club will be holding a silent auction pre-race until the awards presentation begins. The funds raised will support our annual scholarship awarded to a track and field Cape Graduate. All items are new and include categories such as home décor, kitchen items, baby clothing, and jewelry. Get your holiday shopping started early with some amazing bargains. Payment is accepted via cash, check, or Zelle.

Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

• 7:30 am: Limited "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration at Start/Finish area.
• 8:40 am: "Parade of Costumes" from small pavilion to large pavilion on the trail.
• 8:50 am: Line-up & Final Announcements.
• 9:00 am: Start of 5k & 1m walk Event.
• 10:15 am: Award Ceremony.

🚗 Parking

• Saturday's Half: Plenty of parking at the State Park in the main beach lot...Lewes.
• Sunday's 5k & 1m walk: Grove Park, Henlopen Ave, Rehoboth Ave....Rehoboth.

🏆 Awards

• 5k Classic:
  • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 16 age groups:
  • 5k...9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
• 1m Fright Walk: this is a non-competitive 1 mile walk with no awards.
• Awards that are not picked up at the race can also be available to be picked up during
