2ND IRISH EYES FRIENDSGIVING 5K RUN/WALK in honor of longtime bartender Don Johnson

Join the Irish Eyes family for a fun Thanksgiving morning in Lewes at the 2nd Friendsgiving 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds will benefit the Toys for Tots program. The race will be in honor of the late Don Johnson, longtime Irish Eyes bartender.

The History

• Long Tradition: Irish Eyes, under the direction of Host's Tom & Charlene Jones, have hosted a Thanksgiving morning 5k from their Lewes Irish Eyes location dating back 10-15 years.
• Previous Changes: The event was not held in 2022 and Irish Eyes changed production companies and the Race Director.
• Inaugural Race: In 2023, the event was named the 1st Friendsgiving 5k Run/Walk in honor of the late Don Johnson.
• Successful Event: The first annual event was a huge success with 444 finishers produced by the Seashore Strider Event Production Team.

Race Entry Fee

• 5K Run/Walk Entry: $30 'Early Bird' through Tuesday 9/30/25 at midnight
  $35 'Registration' through Wednesday, 11/26/25 at 10 pm
  $40 'Limited Race-Day' Registration from 7:00 am - 8:30 am
• Mail Entry: Mail entry form/payment to: Seashore Striders, Irish Eyes Friendsgiving 5k: 9 Gander Lane: Lewes, DE 19958
• Virtual 5K: $40 entry fee which includes t-shirt delivery on Monday following the event.
• Little Gobble Dash: Free event for kids under 7: medals for the first 20 participants.

Packet Pickup

• Pickup Time: Wednesday, November 26th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant.
• Importance: Participants are encouraged to utilize our Packet Pick-Up to go straight to the starting line on race morning.
• Race Day Pickup: Register or pick-up your packet from 7-8:30 am on race day.

Awards

• Custom Awards: Will be presented to the Overall, Master and top three finishers in 10 age groups.
• Unclaimed Awards: Can be picked up during the week locally or mailed for a $10 fee.
• No Awards: For the virtual event.

Race Timing

• Timing Method: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the 5k event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

Race Amenities

• Features: Long sleeve t-shirts, custom awards, kids dash, water stop, and a post-race celebration.
