2025 Auggie's 5K Run & Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 26th Annual Auggie's 5K Run & Walk, which starts promptly at 9:00 a.m., benefits the programming of the Ohio County Animal Shelter. The flat and fast course, which commences and ends at Warwood Middle School, is on Wheeling's Heritage Trail along the Ohio River. Essentially, runners and walkers have separate, out-and-back courses, despite starting and finishing in the same area. Runners run north on the paved trail, and walkers walk south. There will be post-race refreshments and door prizes.

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. on race day. Packets will not be available Friday evening.
• Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

👕 Race Merchandise

• Long-sleeve Tech Shirts: Guaranteed to first 200 pre-registrants with original artwork by WVU student Kendal Rownd.
• Hoodies and Hats: Available for purchase.

🏅 Awards and Prizes

• Gift Certificates: Awarded to top 3 males & females of both the run and the walk.
• Custom Medallions: Given to top males & females in age divisions, featuring artwork by Sherry Stauver.
