8th Annual Nashville, TN Ostomy 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 8th Annual Nashville, TN Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in celebration of World Ostomy Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

📅 Race Day Schedule

• Volunteer Check-in & Vendor/Sponsor Set-up: 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM
• Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up: 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM
• Run/Walk Start: 11:00 AM
• Awards Ceremony: 12:00 Noon (or until the final finisher crosses the finish line)

📝 Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up

Pre-race Packet Pick-up location to be determined. Sign-up will be available at Packet Pick-up and the morning of the Run ½ hour before the start of the run.

💰 Registration Information

• Registration Fee: $35.00
• Children's Fun Run Fee: $20.00 for children under the age of 12
• Included with Registration: T-Shirt, Bib and participant "Swag Bags"
• Early Bird Savings: Save $5.00 through July 25th!

🏞️ Race Course

This 5k Timed Run and 1 mile Children's Fun Run will be held at Shelby Bottoms located at Shelby Avenue & S. 20th Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. The park includes playgrounds, a dog park, baseball fields, two golf courses, and a community center.

There is a NEW course route for 2025 - we will share the new map route soon! A timed course will be provided by Bald Eagle Multi Sport events, with awards and medals following the run.

🚗 Parking

There is ample free parking for up to 1,000 cars and free admission to Shelby Park and Shelby Park Community Center.

🏆 Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, top Male/Female in each age group, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates.

🛍️ Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will include ostomy education materials and an ostomy pouch provided by our sponsors. Participants are encouraged to wear a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for those living with ostomies.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team!

After registering, you can CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or JOIN an established one. This encourages community participation and competition.

💖 Fundraising Opportunities

Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded! Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources and support to the ostomy community.
