8th Annual Nashville, TN Ostomy 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 8th Annual Nashville, TN Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in celebration of World Ostomy Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM: Volunteer Check-in & Vendor/Sponsor Set-up
• 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up
• 11:00 AM: Run/Walk Start
• 12:00 Noon: Awards Ceremony (or until the final finisher crosses the finish line)

🏷️ Registration

• Registration Fee: $35.00
• Children's Fun Run Fee: $20.00 (for children under the age of 12)
• Included: A unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib, and participant "Swag Bags"
• Early Bird Discount: Save $5.00 through July 25th!

🏞️ Race Course

This 5k Timed Run and 1 mile Children's Fun Run will be held at Shelby Bottoms located at Shelby Avenue & S. 20th Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. With over 336 acres of land, Shelby Bottoms is a large urban park located approximately three miles east of downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River.

• New Course: There is a NEW course route for 2025 - we will share the new map route on here very soon!
• Course Timing: This course is timed with professional timing services provided by Bald Eagle Multi Sport events.
• Awards: Awards and medals will be given following the run.

🅿️ Parking

There is ample free parking for up to 1,000 cars and free admission to Shelby Park and Shelby Park Community Center.

📦 Packet Pickup

Pre-race Packet Pick-up location to be determined. Sign-up will be available at Packet Pick-up and the morning of the Run 1/2 hour before the start of the run.

🏆 Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to:

• Top Overall Finishers: Male and Female
• Age Group Finishers: Top M/F in each age group
• Ostomates: Top Male and Female Ostomates

🎽 Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to wear a pouch for the race to enhance awareness and empathy.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team!

Once you’ve registered, you can CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or JOIN an existing one. This is a great way to engage others in your community to participate and compete.

💰 Fundraising

Fundraising is essential to help UOAA provide resources, educational materials, and support for the ostomy community. Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

• Empower Level: $225+ in fundraising for individuals or as a Team Captain
• Champion Level: $425+ in fundraising
• Awards: TBD for both levels
