🏃♂️ Race Overview
It's time for our Turkey Trot 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon fun run/walk!!! This is on FRIDAY 11/28. NOT on Thanksgiving. This is Friday 11/28, the day after Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving 11/27 we are in Woodley Park in Van Nuys.
🕖 Check-in and Start Times
- Check-in: 7-7:30AM for everyone
- Start: 7:30AM
🏅 Included in Registration
- Custom Finisher Medals: All finishers get a medal.
- Goodie Bags: Drawstring goodie bags included.
- Free Photos: Free photos posted on our Facebook page after the event.
- Results: Results posted on the website within 12-24 hours of event.
🏖️ Location Details
Address: Please check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, at the start of the beach path. NOT near Claremont Ave. Long Beach path in Belmont Shores -- 5400 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803 (off of 54th Place and Ocean Blvd). Please do not use Apple Maps app as a GPS: use Google Maps or Waze. There is a photo of the map on the website www.abetterworldrunning.com.
⏰ Half Marathon Details
- Cut-off Time: 10:45AM for the half marathon. Option to start early to finish by 10:45AM, please email for early start.
- Course Details: Half marathon is a 3 x 4.36 mi loop.
🙌 Family and Group Information
- Group Discounts: Available for 5 or more people. Email us at abetterworldrunning@gmail.com for group registration.
- Fun for Everyone: Affordable cost and fun for the whole family!

💧 Additional Participant Information
There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course.
Running/walking with a stroller is allowed. 3:15 time limit for the half marathon. If more time is needed, please email us at abetterworldrunning@gmail.com for early start.
