Join us for a powerful morning of movement, community, and purpose at the inaugural Courage to Thrive 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser. Whether you're walking, jogging, or running—your steps will support something much bigger than the finish line.

What It’s About

• Hosted by: The Courage to Thrive, an upstart organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go toward helping participants access integrative cancer conferences, healing workshops, and unconventional testing not typically covered by insurance.
• Goal: To remove financial barriers and provide hope through education, empowerment, and healing resources.
• Disclaimer: The Courage to Thrive is in the process of applying to become a non-profit, but is NOT currently a 501(c)(3). Donations are not tax deductible.

Who Can Join?

• Open to All: This event is open to all ages and all fitness levels.
• Bring Your Tribe: Bring your Thrive Tribe and walk or run in honor of those who have faced cancer.
• Inclusive: Whether in treatment or thriving post-diagnosis, everyone is encouraged to participate.

Event Information

Parking:

• Location: The race will begin next to parking lot 25 of Bolsa Chica State Beach, near the intersection of Warner and Pacific Coast Highway 1.
• Access: The entrance to Lot 25 is about 1.5 miles south from the parking lot, off Pacific Coast Highway.
• Cost: Parking is $20 per vehicle and can be paid with cash, card, or Apple Pay.
• Arrival: We recommend arriving at least 45–60 minutes before your race start for parking, bib pickup, and warm-up.

Registration and Packet Pickup:

• Time: Registration and packet pickup will open at 7 a.m. near the starting line.
• Requirements: If someone else is picking up your packet, they will need a printed copy of your ID and a printed, signed copy of the waiver.
• Waiver: You can download and print the waiver from this link.
• Strict Policy: No bibs will be given out without the required items due to insurance regulations.

Race Day Timeline – Sunday, November 9th

• 6:00 am: Parking Lots Open.
• 7:30 am: Registration is Open.
• 8:30 am: Warm Up.
• 9:00 am: 5K Start.
