8:30 am Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Registration is now open for the Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K! The Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K will feature a 3.1 mile run through Matawan NJ on JUNE 14th at 8:30 am on Main Street in Matawan. This run will pay tribute to the events of the Matawan shark attacks that took place in July 1916. The Matawan Shark attacks led to the novel and movie “Jaws”. Although tragic and terrifying for those who were victims and those involved, the events of the summer of 1916 would forever change the image of the shark worldwide.

🏅 Packet Pick Up

• Thursday 6/12: 11:00-4:00 at Main Street Donuts in Matawan NJ
• Friday 6/13: 12:00-5:00 pm at Main Street Donuts in Matawan NJ
• Day of (6/14): 6:30 am - 8:00 am
• RACE START: 8:30 AM SHARP. Please give yourself time to park. Late arrivals will be checked in at the discretion of the race coordinator and Matawan Police Department and may not be timed accurately and/or permitted to start.

🎖️ Participant Details

Runners will receive:

• SHARK SHIRT: While Supplies Last!
• SHARK DONUT MEDAL: Design to be unveiled by March
• SHARK DONUT: Delicious treats for all participants!

🥳 Event Activities

Runners and walkers are invited to attend and partake in the day’s activities which include a 5K run/walk and a post-race gathering with donuts, coffee, sharks and more. A shark and donut themed medal will be given to each participant along with a delicious donut courtesy of Main Street Donuts in Matawan.

• Charity Beneficiary: Matawan Regional High School Performing Arts Program
• 5K Start Time: Assembly at 8:30am
