The Shore Athletic Club presents the Asbury Park George Sheehan Classic 5K.

Location: Kingsley Street and 5th Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ
Flat, fast USATF certified course finishing on the famous Asbury Park Boardwalk
Opening Ceremony: 7:50 AM at Bradley Park

Registration Details
- Early Registration: $36 if you register by March 9th
- Regular Registration: $40 if you register by May 9th
- Late Registration: $50 to register from August 1 - 8th (if space permits)
- Day of Race Registration: $60 on race day, August 9th (if space permits)
The field will be capped at 1,600 runners this year. Shirts for the first 1,200 to pick up. Register early to avoid getting closed out.
Kids Races
- Registration Fee: $14 if you register by March 9th
- Regular Fee: $16 if you register by July 31st
- Late Fee: $20 to register from August 1 - 9th
- Suggested Distances: 2-4 years old: 50 meters: 5-7 years old: 100 meters: 8-10 years old: 200 meters: 11+ years old: 400 meters
Schedule of Events
- Friday (4-7 PM): Late Registration & Bib/T-Shirt Pick-up at The Outpost in Little Silver
- Saturday (6:30 - 7:45 AM): Late Registration and race day bib pick-up at Bradley Park
- 7:50 AM: Opening Ceremony at Bradley Park
- 8:00 AM: 5K Run begins: 9:00 AM: Kids races begin: 9:15 AM: Awards ceremony - Bradley Park
Awards
- Overall Winners: Top 5 Overall Open Male and Female Win CASH Prizes (increased prize money this year)
- Age Group Awards: 5 year age groups - Top 3 in each age group win custom Sheehan Classic beach towels and other awards
- Total Prize Money: Over $1300 for top finishers
- Team Competition: Special award for Winning Team(s) in each category: also an award for the team with the largest number of entrants
Additional Information
BIB PICK UP: Friday at The Outpost Running and Walking Co., 32 Church Street in Little Silver. 4:00 - 7:00 PM
Race Tees: Soft cotton tie-dye Asbury Park Sheehan Classic shirts to the first 1,200 participants to pick up their bib/shirt.
Charity Partner: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County.
Raffle: Complimentary raffle at the awards ceremony from local sponsors.
