First Day 5k

🎉 Race Overview

No Better Way to start 2026 than with a 5k! GO Race is excited to bring you The First Day 5k 2026. The race is being held in Cane Bay Plantation and is for all ages, skills, and speeds. Race starts at 9:26am.

🏃‍♂️ Course Details

• Start Location: Your Run/Walk will begin at Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot.
• Course Type: This paved multi-use trail will loop through 2 tunnels for the 3.1 miles course.
• Course Features: The course will take you under Cane Bay Blvd twice, running along the new Nexton Parkway Extension.
• Safety: Sheriff’s Deputies will be stationed to ensure your safety at the crossing.

🏅 Finisher Rewards

• Finisher Gear: All Finishers will receive the 2026 Hooded Sweatshirt.
• Complimentary Drinks: Enjoy FREE coffee or cocoa as you finish.
• Award Categories: Prizes awarded to males and females 1st through 3rd overall.
• Age Groups: Prizes for age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

📅 Packet Pick-Up

• Date: December 30th at Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads 4:00PM - 6:00PM.
• Race Day: January 1st At the Race Site 8:00AM - 9:15AM.
