🎅 Zachary Charity League Chasing Santa 5K
Chase Santa through the streets of Zachary and win a special prize if you catch him!
☕ Post-Race Treats
- Hot Cocoa and Cookies: Served after the race!
- T-shirt: All runners who register by Dec. 1 will receive a t-shirt.
- Toy for Kids: Kids 1/2 mile finishers will receive a toy from Santa’s bag.
- Medal: Finishers will receive a Christmas ornament medal.
🏃 Event Details
- Chip Timed: The 5K is a chip timed event.
- No Extra Fee: 5K runners may run the 1/2 Mile run for no extra fee.
- Strollers: Strollers are welcome.
- Race Start: The race starts and ends at Zachary High School, in front of the main building.
🎶 Race Day Schedule
- Warm Up: Join the fun with a warm up at 8:15am.
- National Anthem: At 8:25am.
- 1/2 Mile Start: At 8:30am.
- 5K Start: At 9:00am. Participants have one hour to complete the race.
💡 Purpose of the Race
This family friendly 5K and 1/2 Mile Kids Run will raise funds for the Zachary Charity League. All race proceeds go towards scholarships, teacher grants, and Snack Packs for Kids, which provides healthy snacks over the weekend for children who come from food insecure homes. The race route passes by five of our seven schools, which is the heart of our league. Learn more about us at zacharycharityleague.org.
📝 Registration Details
- 5K Registration: $30 early bird until November 10: $35 November 10 - December 12: $45 race day.
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run: $15 until November 10: $20 November 10 - December 12: $25 race day.
📦 Packet Pickup
- Dec 11: Thursday from 5-7 pm at 4422 Main Street, Zachary LA.
- Dec 12: Friday from 5-7 pm at 4422 Main Street, Zachary LA.
- Race Day: Registration (online only) and packet pickup from 7:30-8:15am.
