About this race
The Crimson River Run
Join us for the 6th Annual 5k - 10k Race/Walk hosted by the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This event will take place on March 6th, 2027 at 8am.
This USATF certified route will be on the Southern University and A&M College Campus.
Registration Details
- Early Registration: July 20-October 20: 5k or 10k $25
- Regular Registration: October 21 – Jan 21: 5k or 10k $30
- Late Registration: January 22 - Mar 6: 5k or 10k $35
- Day of Race: on site registration March 7: 5k/10k $35
Participants registering before January 30th will receive a T-shirt and a finisher's medal.
T-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after January 30th.
Dear Dash
A brisk 20-yard “walk” to the race's starting line, exclusively for participants aged 60 or older. The winner becomes the official race starter.
Prizes
The overall adult male and female winners of the 5k and 10k races will each receive a $125.00 Varsity Sports gift card. The overall youth male and female 5k winners will receive a $100.00 Varsity Sports gift card.
Place Awards and other prizes will be given for the following categories as follows:
- Top 3 male and female runners: by age group/category.
- Categories: 0-19 years old.
- Categories: 20-29 years old.
- Categories: 30-39 years old.
- Categories: 40-49 years old.
- Categories: 50-59 years old.
- Categories: 60-69 years old.
- Categories: 70-79 years old.
- Categories: 80+ years old.
Groups and teams are welcomed to participate.
Post-Race Event
Following the race, everyone is invited to the Community Health and Economic Summit, featuring a variety of health screenings and numerous local business vendors.
