Montvale 5 & 8.4 Milers

Event Overview

Montvale Park is a great setting for a park. In Bedford County, the park is just behind the Montvale Elementary School off of HWY 460.

Directions to the Park

• Primary Access: To get to the park’s parking lot, turn off of HWY 460 just before (from the west) and just after (from the east) the Montvale Elementary School.
• Marketplace Drive: Turn onto Marketplace and head to the end of the turnaround, which leads you to the gravel road into the Park Entrance.
• Pavilion Location: We will be staging the race from under the pavilion.
• Parking Reminder: Make sure you carpool when you can and park closely to the person next to you, as the park doesn’t have unlimited parking.

Alternative Access

• Quarterwood Road: There is also another way to access the park off of Quarterwood Road (across from the BP gas station).
• Gravel Parking Lot: The gravel parking lot will be approximately 1.5 miles on your left.

Trail Information

• Trail System: Montvale park features a 6.5-mile trail system that winds through old growth forest.
• Scenic Trails: It is a very nice and scenic trail system.
