We are back and ready to Celebrate - Join us for the 9th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k in Birmingham, AL at our New Location and Celebrate 9 years of Ostomy Awareness at the beautiful EBSCO Industries West Gate Park at Railroad Park on Saturday, October 3rd for Ostomy Awareness Day.

Race Day Schedule
- 7:30 AM: Registration and check-in
- 8:15 AM: 5k Start
- 8:45 AM: 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run start
- 11:30 AM: Event ends
Packet Pickup
You can pick-up your Race Bag, T-Shirt, and Bib the morning of the event.
Prizes
Awards will be presented to the top finishers in the Open and Ostomate categories.
Create or Join a Race Group/Team
Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you!
Fundraising
Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded! Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
Fundraising Incentives
- Empower Level: $250+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.
- Champion Level: $450+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.
- Fundraising award: TBD for both levels.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 Million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country. Your generous donation helps us to raise awareness of this life-saving surgery and to continue our mission of promoting their quality of life through information, support, advocacy and collaboration. Run Referral Program
Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page. The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!
