The Star 99.9 &: the Surfside Hotel Run for Wishes is hosted by The Little Pub in the Lordship section of Stratford. The Surfside Hotel &: Little Pub overlook Long Island Sound as does most of the course!

Event Details

• Course: Run or walk our beautiful 5K (3.11mi) course overlooking Long Island Sound. Course Map
• Sponsor: Sponsored by CONNOISSEUR MEDIA, The Surfside Hotel &: Little Pub.
• Participation: This event will have a strict cutoff at 250 people.
• Registration: Register early, enjoy the beach, the views, run/walk or saunter on our very flat and scenic roads. Snacks &: adult beverages (21+: only) will be available.

Shirts and Registration

• Shirts: Classic t-shirts size guaranteed by 7/26 (after that 'as available' and we could run out!).
• Important: If you register later the week before, there is a chance we won’t have extra shirts available.
• Early Registration: Just $33 till 7/26 ($25 for 20 &: under) then price will increase.
• Deadline: We may not have many extra shirts, so REGISTER IN TIME!

Awards and Giveaways

• Overall Awards: The TOP Male &: Female Finishers overall champions will receive a special prize.
• Age Group Awards: First place awards for age groups including 9 &: under, 10-13, 14-18, and more.
• Give Away: Every participant will be automatically entered into the 'GIVE AWAY' as part of their race fees.
• Grand Prize: Surfside will provide a hotel stay as the grand prize: additional prizes will be announced soon.

Post Race Amenities

• Food and Beverage: Little Pub will offer each 21 &: older participant an adult beverage as well as a non-alcoholic option. Snacks, chips &: more will be provided.
• Tradition: Stick around for a great time at the Little Pub after you are done.
• Event Timeline: Early bib/shirt pickup at the Little Pub picnic lot on 8/8 from 8:30-10:30 AM.
• Race Day: Event pickup starts at 7:30 AM, with the race starting at 9:00 AM.

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving. There are over 300 Connecticut children waiting for their wishes to be granted who count on donors like you to help make their wish come true.

Summer should be a time of joy for children, but wish kids often miss out due to their illness. A wish can change everything for these children - giving them the strength and hope they need to persevere in their fight against critical illness.
