ABOUT THE RACE

• History: Started in 1991 by Race Director Marty Schaivone, a Biology teacher at THS (1977-2012).
• Purpose: The event raises money for the Trumbull High Scholarship Foundation.
• Legacy: Consistently supported by participants and sponsors for 36 years.
• Join Us: We are planning a party to celebrate, complete with food and fun!

FOOD AND FUN

• Special Treat: Plasko’s Farm Cider Donuts will be available.
• Village Bagels: Offering pumpkin mini bagels and various snacks.
• Shirt Availability: 450 shirts ordered: sign up quickly to ensure you receive one.
• Sizing: Guaranteed sizing ends 10/4: shirts after this date are ‘as available’.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

• Early Pickup: 10/17, 8:30-10:30 am in the front foyer of Trumbull High School.
• Event Day Registration: 10/18, starts at 7:30 am in the THS cafeteria: registration is online only.
• Kids Runs: Begin at 8:10 am on the track: various distances for age groups.
• 5K Start: 9:00 am: untimed 1.7mi walk starts at the same time.

REGISTRATION FEES

• 5K Fees: $28 for 19 & over, $20 for 18 & under (Earlybird until 4/30): prices increase closer to the event.
• 1.7 Mile Walk: $28 for 19 & over, $20 for 18 & under (similar tiered pricing).
• Kids Fun Runs: $17 until 10/11, $20 from 10/12-10/18: shirt and medal guaranteed.
• Online Only: Registration is online only: cash and paper registrations are not accepted on race day.

COURSES

• 5K Course: Computer chip-timed, with hills and a downhill section: similar to the original course.
• 1.7 Mile Walk: Untimed and non-competitive: a flat route.
• Kids Runs: Conducted on a flat track with varying distances.
• Water Stations: May not be available on course: please carry hydration options.

PARKING AND LOCATION

• Parking Locations: Hillcrest Middle School or back lot of Trumbull High.
• Safety: Driveway closed at 8:45 am for runner safety: police will manage key intersections.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive early to secure parking and complete registration.
• Finish Area: Look for the start banner near the 'A House' side of the building.
