EVENT PURPOSE
- Goal: This event aims to promote community health and wellness while raising awareness about the importance of oral health.
- Partnership: We are proud to be partnering with High Country Community Health to increase awareness of oral cancer and its impact on our community.
- Screenings: As part of this initiative, we are planning to provide oral cancer screenings during the event, helping to educate participants about early detection and prevention.
PROCEEDS
- Funding: Proceeds from the 5K will help fund the pre-dental club at App State’s outreach efforts.
- Outreach: This includes travel to free healthcare clinics such as RAM (Remote Area Medical) and MOM (Mission of Mercy) clinics.
- Services: These clinics provide essential dental and health services to underserved populations.
- Importance: Travel funding is essential for student volunteers to reach these clinics, often located several hours away.
RACE FEE
- Inclusions: Race Fee includes t-shirt and bib while supplies last!
- Timing: Please note this race will not be timed professionally, but it will be timed by volunteers!
