- Focus: Exploration of Steamboat’s Mineral Springs, including their history and medicinal uses.
- Audience: All ages are welcome: content is at an adult/young adult comprehension level.
- Partnership: Offered in partnership with the Tread of Pioneers Museum: participants receive a half-off admission coupon.
Where to Meet
- Location: Steamboat Art Depot Parking Lot (1001 13th Street).
- Time: Meet at 8:50am.
What to Expect
- Segments: The walk is broken into two segments.
- First Segment: Approximately 1 mile, mostly flat along city sidewalks.
- Second Segment: Optional trek to Lithia Springs covering another mile, with some elevation gain.
What to Wear/Bring
- Attire: Comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for 1-2 hours outside.
- Weather Preparation: Be ready for the day's weather: sun protection is recommended.
- Awareness: UV rays are stronger at high elevation: even short exposure can lead to sunburn.
- Essentials: Bring a water bottle and any necessary medications, including epi-pens.
