TRI for KIDS Triathlon #2

The TRI for KIDS Triathlon Series has three races in 2027 on June 6th, July 11th, and August 8th with a 50 meter or 150 meter swim, a four mile bike, and a one mile run course at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, CA for boys and girls 5 to 14 years of age.

Event Details

• Location: Rancho Seco Park, Herald, California
• Course: 50 meter or 150 meter swim, a four mile bike, and a one mile run
• Age Groups: 11 and over swim 150 meters: 10 and under swim 50 meters
• Included: TRI for KIDS Custom Water Bottle for each athlete

Distances

• 5 to 10 years old: Swim 50 meters, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
• 11 to 14 years old: Swim 150 meters, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
• Swim Course: Monitored by safety kayakers and lifeguards
• Run Course: One-mile course on grass and trails with two aid stations

Transition Area

• Shared Space: Transition area shared with TRI for Real Triathlon
• Access: Parents must exit after setup: non-athletes not allowed inside
• Bodymarking: To be completed before entering transition
• What to Bring: No glass or bottles allowed in the transition area

Awards

• Age Group Awards: Three-deep for each one-year age group
• Finisher Recognition: Every finisher receives a race finisher button
• Series Awards: Presented for top athletes across all three events

Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 am: Registration and Packet pick up open
• 6:30 am: Transition area open
• 7:00 am: Race announcements begin
• 7:30 am: Start of TRI for KIDS Triathlon

Refund and Transfer Information

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Race transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Participant transfers are allowed for this event, with a $15 fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine. Race fees increase on race day. There is a $15 park entrance fee per vehicle.
