TRI for KIDS Triathlon #3

The TRI for KIDS Triathlon Series has three races in 2027 on June 6th, July 11th, and August 8th with a 50 meter or 150 meter swim, a four mile bike, and a one mile run course at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, CA for boys and girls 5 to 14 years of age.

Event Details

• Location: Rancho Seco Park, Herald, CA
• Course: 50 meter or 150 meter swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run
• Ages: Boys and girls aged 11 and over will swim the longer distance, with kids aged 10 and under doing the shorter distance.

Triathlon Distances

• 5 to 10 years old: Swim 50 meters, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
• 11 to 14 years old: Swim 150 meters, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
• Swim Course: Monitored by safety kayakers and lifeguards.
• Bike Course: Four-mile course inside the park, closed to traffic.

Run Course

• Distance: One-mile course around sections of the lake on grass and trails.
• Aid Stations: Available at the start and halfway on the run course.
• Race Number: Must be worn on the front during the run and at the finish line.
• Transition Area: Shared with TRI for Real Triathlon: non-athletes must exit after setup.

Awards and Recognition

• Age Group Awards: Three-deep for each age group.
• Finisher Awards: Every finisher will receive a race finisher button.
• Series Awards: Presented to top athletes racing all three events on August 8th.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 am: Registration and Packet pick up open
• 6:30 am: Transition area open
• 7:00 am: Race announcements begin
• 7:30 am: Start of TRI for KIDS Triathlon

Important Information

• Entry Closure: Rancho Seco Park entry closed from 7:30 am to 8:00 am for bike course closure.
• Refund Policy: No Refund policy: credits available under specific conditions.
• Race Fees: Increase on race day: $15 park entrance fee per vehicle.
• Weather: All TBF Racing events are held rain or shine.
