TRI for FUN Triathlon

The TRI for FUN Triathlon & Duathlon are back in 2027 at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California with races on June 6th, July 11th, and August 8th for the 44th year of TRI for FUN Triathlon racing!

Event Details and Schedule

• Race Title: TRI for FUN Triathlon #1
• Location: Rancho Seco Park, Herald
• History: The TRI for FUN Sprint Triathlon began in 1983, started by Fleet Feet Sports. TBF Racing took over the event in 2001.
• Race Features: The race features a lake swim, a road bike course, and a dirt trail run.

2027 Race Features

• Race Dates: June 6th, July 11th & August 8th.
• Course: TRI for FUN Triathlon features a half-mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run course.
• DU for FUN: Has a 1 mile run, 16 mile bike, and 3 mile run course.
• Swag: All racers will receive race day TBF Swag, a TRI for FUN Finisher Medal, post-race refreshments, and awards.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three in each 10-year age group in each Triathlon.

Distances

• Triathlon Distances: 1/2 mile swim - 16 mile bike - 3 mile run
• Duathlon Distances: 1 mile run - 16 mile bike - 3 mile run

Relay Teams

Relay Teams are available for the TRI for FUN Triathlon. Awards will be presented to the top three teams in three divisions: Coed, Female, Male.

Packet Pick Up Information

Race packets will be available race morning from 6:30 am to 8:30 am at the race site. There is a $15 park entrance fee per vehicle.

Start Times

• Triathlon: 8 a.m. Wave Starts
• Duathlon: 8 a.m. Mass Start
• Entry Information: Entry into Rancho Seco Park is closed from 7:30 am to 8 am due to the TRI for KIDS Triathlon event. Vehicles can park and walk in approximately one mile or wait until the road opens at 8 am.

Race for FREE Information

Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to get involved with multi-sport events, have fun, and earn a $50 TBF Racing Volunteer voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events this year. Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask volunteers to reserve a volunteer position by emailing: Volunteers@totalbodyfitness.com.

Refund and Transfer Information

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Race transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame with a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine.
