Jacks Valley Trail Rally

Event Location

• Venue: Jacks Valley Elementary School.
• Check-in: 8am
• Race Start Times: 9am

Course Description

• Terrain: Trail run on fire roads and single track.
• Difficulty: Some steep hills and technical footing in places.
• Scenery: Outstanding views of Carson Valley and the surrounding mountains.
• Distance: The 21K will be 14 miles.

• Before 10/09/2026: 6K: $30 | 12K: $30 | 22K: $35
• After 10/09/2026: 6K: $40 | 12K: $40 | 22K: $45
• Race Day Registration: 6K: $40 | 12K: $40 | 22K: $45
• Registration Time: 7:45AM-8:45AM (CASH, CHECK, or Zelle transfer ONLY).

Series Information

• Event Name: Jacks Valley Trail Rally, formerly Cold Turkey Run.
• Position: Second of three races in our new Fall Series.
• Purpose: Highlights the extensive trail networks surrounding Carson City, NV.
• Feedback: Your feedback is always welcome!

Awards

• No Awards: There will be no finisher or division place awards.
• Reason: We want to keep registration rates reasonable and affordable.

Participant Check-in

• Pick-up: Bib #'s can be picked up race morning.
• Dogs: No dogs on course due to the sheep grazing for fuel reduction.
• Start/Finish Area: Dogs are OK around the start/finish area.

Weather

• Expectations: We'll see what mother nature brings us this year.

Aid Stations

• Stations: Aid stations will have water only.
• 5K & 10K: No aid stations.
• 21K: 1 aid station at about mile 7.

Directions

• From Reno: Take 580 South to Fairview, turn left onto Carson Street and then right onto Jacks Valley Road.
• From Minden/G-ville: 395 N toward Carson City, turn left onto Jacks Valley Road.
• From Carson City: Take Carson Street south and then right onto Jacks Valley Road.

Parking

• Parking Area: Please park in rows in the open dirt lot North of the solar panel fencing.
• Avoid: Please do not park in the paved parking area.
