About the Race
- Setting: Founded in the 1960's, George Whittell is a small high school surrounded by pine forests overlooking Lake Tahoe.
- Support: Join us in supporting students as they organize, plan, and host the race!
- Course: The race course will cross creeks and logs alongside many trees, rocks, and squirrels.
- Fun Run: In addition to the 5K race, there is an 800 meter fun run for the little ones with popsicles for all finishers!
Participation
- All Welcome: Runners, walkers, everyone are welcome to participate!
- Extras: Enjoy some hot chocolate, medals, and good times!
- T-Shirts: To keep costs down, t-shirts are sold separately through the website; designed by the students.
- Pets: Sorry, but pets are NOT allowed on school property.
Important Notes
- Strollers: The trail is NOT stroller friendly unless you have a team to carry it through parts of the woods.
