About the Event
- History: Founded in the 1960’s, George Whittell is a small high school surrounded by pine forests overlooking Lake Tahoe in Zephyr Cove, Nevada.
- Student Involvement: Come support students as they organize, plan, and host the race!
- Course Highlights: The race course will cross creeks and logs alongside many trees, rocks, and squirrels.
- Fun Run: In addition to the 5K race, we have an 800 meter fun run for the little ones. Popsicles for all finishers in the fun run!
Participation Details
- Welcome: Runners, walkers, everyone are welcome to participate and enjoy some hot chocolate, medals, and good times!
- T-Shirts: To keep costs down and participation high, t-shirts are sold separately through the website. The shirts were designed by the students.
- Pet Policy: Sorry, but pets are NOT allowed on school property.
- Stroller Policy: The trail is also NOT stroller friendly unless you have a team to carry it through parts of the woods :)
Post Race Activities
- Drawings: POST RACE DRAWING: Sierra Ski Tickets are available at the post-race drawing.
- Presence Required: Must be present to win!
