Carson Canyons Trail Runs

Packet Pick Up

• No Friday Check-In: There will be no Friday evening runner check in.
• Race Morning Check-In: All runners must check in race morning for bib assignment.

Course Descriptions

• 6K: Figure eight course on jeep road and single track trail in and above Longview Canyon. It is 4 miles in length with close to 900' of climbing.
• 12K: This is a daiseychain type course. The first mile and a half follows the 6K course then continues to climb up to Kings Canyon and then to the new Lincoln Bypass Trail, connecting with the 30K and 22K courses heading downhill.
• 22K: The first mile of the course is on pavement. Runners will head north on Longview Way, then turn left up Ash Canyon Road towards the water tanks, transitioning to dirt and continuing up Ash Canyon.
• Terrain: The 22K course is 14 miles long with 2100' of climbing on mostly single track.

Registration

• Start Times: 22K Start at 8:00AM: 6K & 12K Start at 8:30AM.
• Pre-Race Fees: Registration before 9/11/2026: 6K: $30 | 12K: $30 | 22K: $35.
• Post-Registration Fees: Registration after 9/11/2026: 6K: $40 | 12K: $40 | 22K: $45.
• Race Day Fees: 6K: $40 | 12K: $40 | 22K: $45 (from 6:45AM-7:45AM, CASH, CHECK or Zelle transfer ONLY).

Event Location

• Location: Long Ranch Park, Carson City.

Aid Stations

• 22K & 30K: There will be 3 A/S’s out on the course.
• 12K: You will hit the same aid station twice.
• 6K: There is one aid station.
• No Cups: This is a no cups event: every runner must carry a water bottle to refill.

Runner Check-in

• Check-In Times: 22K & 30K from 6:45AM-7:45AM: 6K & 12K from 6:45AM-8:15AM.
• Race Starts: 22K at 8:00AM: 6K & 12K at 8:30AM.
• Mandatory Check-In: All runners must check in prior to the start at Long Ranch Park to receive their bib#. No Friday evening check in.

Awards

• No Finisher Awards: There will be no finisher or division place awards to keep registration rates reasonable.
• Transitioning Series: The event is transitioning into a new Fall Series.
• Free Draft Beer: All finishers, 21 or older, will get a coupon for one free draft beer with a purchase of an appetizer at the Fox Brewpub.

Directions

• From Reno: From 580 South: Exit onto Carson Street or 395 business. Turn right onto Winnie Lane, proceed to Ash Canyon Road, then Longview Way.
• From South of Carson: From 395 (S. Carson St.) turn left onto W. 5th Street, then Curry Street, and follow to Longview Way.

Parking

• Parking Areas: Please park on Longview Way or Waterford Place next to the park.
• Residential Neighborhood: Remember that this is a residential neighborhood. Thank you!

Fall Trail Series

• First Run: The Carson Canyons Half Marathon will be the first run in our new Fall Series.
• Other Events: Includes Jacks Valley Trail Rally on October 17, 2026, and Desert Island Trail Runs on November 14, 2026.
• Format: This series will replace our popular Winter Trail Series while maintaining low fees, no awards, and lots of fun.
