Race Information

• Race #1: This is the first race of the Wild Thangs Trail Series.
• Race Times: 10K - 7:00AM, 5K - 7:15AM. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30 to ensure you have time to park!
• Cupless Race: Remember that all RunningLane Events trail races are "cupless races." You must have a handheld bottle, pack or reusable cup.
• Reusable Cup: If you don't have a reusable cup, there is the option to buy a RunningLane reusable cup at checkout for $5.

• Series Overview: Welcome to the Wild Thangs Trail Series! Designed for both new and experienced trail runners with 4 races total.
• Running Dates: Races run from June to August, designed to be competitive and fun.
• Entry Discounts: Save $35 on early registration and $55 on late registration by bundling.

Course Details

• Spectator Friendly: These courses offer beautiful mountain scenery, bluff views, creek crossings, and waterfalls.
• Aid Stations: Several aid stations will provide water, Gatorade, Coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's, pickles, and more.
• Post-Race Food: We will have hamburgers waiting for all participants at the finish line of each race!

Registration and Packet Pickup

• Runner Cap: The race is capped at 400 runners.
• Packet Pickup Dates: Various dates for each race. Chupacabra on August 21, 2026 from 12-5pm.
• Location: All packet pickups will be at the RunningLane store, 2407 Memorial Pkwy SW Huntsville, AL 35801.
• Morning Pickup: Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race from 6:00am - 6:45am but arrive early!

Shirts, Awards, and Weather

• Race Shirt: The race shirt will be a short sleeve tri-blend shirt.
• Age Groups: Ages 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ for ALL races.
• Weather Protocol: In severe weather, we will delay the start as necessary.
• Cutoff Times: Loose cutoffs with a suggested pace of 15 minutes per mile.

Additional Information

No Refunds: There are no refunds, deferrals, credits or friend/family transfers on entries. Leftover shirts are donated.
