Race Description

Join us for the Cherokee High School Zombie 5K, a Halloween-themed race that combines a traditional 5K with a fun zombie survival challenge to raise money for the Cherokee High School Senior Class and Cross Country Team.

Zombie Challenge

• Lives: Runners starting the Zombie Challenge will begin with “lives” represented by flags.
• Zombie Zones: You’ll encounter designated Zombie Zones, where zombies will attempt to steal your flags.
• Survival: Make it to the finish line with at least one flag remaining to survive the outbreak!
• Optional: Don't want to be chased? Participants can run or walk the 5K without joining the Zombie Challenge.

Participate in Style

• Costumes: Costumes are encouraged!
• All Abilities: Run or walk — all abilities welcome.
• Awards: Race awards and survivor bragging rights will be given.
• Support Local: All proceeds benefit the Cherokee High School Senior Class and Cross Country Team.

Safety Information

Our zombies will follow strict safety rules—no tackling, grabbing, pushing, or blocking runners. They’re only after your flags!
