Stone & Steel Spooky 5k

🎃 Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, October 4th, 2025
• Time: 8 a.m.
• Location: 302 N Chicago St, Joliet, IL
• Details: The 4th annual Stone & Steel Spooky 5K is hosted by the Joliet City Center Partnership (CCP).

👟 Race Information

• Course: The chip-timed race starts in Downtown Joliet and runs through the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site.
• Participants: Walkers and runners are welcome to participate.
• Costumes: Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume.
• Inclusions: A hat and gloves are included in the race fee, but may not be guaranteed if registering after September 24th.

🏆 Awards

• Best Times: Awards will be presented to the male and female with the best overall time and by age group (0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).
• Placement Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place overall Female and Male will receive special awards.
• Presence Required: Must be present to receive award: awards will not be mailed.

🤝 Community Support

• Proceeds: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Joliet Central High School's chapter of the National Honor Society.
• NHS Mission: The NHS recognizes students who excel in leadership, scholarship, service, and character.
• Criteria: All NHS students have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
• Events: Selected members participate in various service projects and leadership events.
