Fight for Families 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Organizer: Fostering the Family is hosting our 6th Annual Fight for Families 5k Trail Run/Walk.
• Date: October 18, 2025.
• Location: The beautiful Allison Creek Park, York, SC.
• Purpose: Bring awareness to the local foster and adoption crisis.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Friday Night: Packet pick up will be held October 17, 2025 at Papa Doc's from 4-7 pm.
• Sunday Morning: Packet pick up will also be from 7:45-8:45 am on race day.
• Event Activities: There will be a silent auction and a time to connect with our team as well as other race participants.

🏁 Race Details

• Interactive Stations: Leading up to the start line, you will be able to visit interactive stations from 8-9 am.
• Water Stations: There will be two water stations during the race.
• Start Time: Our 5k race for all ages will begin at 9 am, timed by both male and female divisions per age category.

👶 Kids' Activities

• Scavenger Hunt: For children ages 3-10, it will be held at 8:00 am.
• Team InsaneShayne: Kids can join local YouTube Content Creator Insane Shayne for the 5K.
• Meet and Greet: A meet and greet with Shayne will be offered to participants in the Scavenger Hunt or the 5k race.

🏆 Awards Ceremony

• Time: Following the race, there will be an awards ceremony at 10:15 am.
• Prizes: Awards for the race winners in each age category.
• Result Notification: Each runner will receive their time via text from Queen City Timing.

🤝 Sponsorship Opportunities

• Community Involvement: We encourage participation from businesses, churches, or nonprofits interested in sponsorship and vendor tables.
• Unity: We are better together!
