Lake Takanassee Summer Series

Event Overview

The series, established in 1964 by Shore A.C, is a weekly 5k race and 1 mile kids run held on the perimeter of Lake Takanassee.

Race Schedule

• Date: July 6, 13, 20, 27 and August 3
• Kids 1 mile run: Starts at 6:30 PM (1 lap around the lake)
• 5K race: Starts at 6:45 PM (4 laps around the lake)
• Medals: Awarded to top 3 overall finishers and age group winners in the 5K, and the top 3 girls and boys in the 1 mile run

Registration Details

• Event day registration: Limited, opens at 6:00 PM
• Kids Fun Run: 1500m, at 6:30 PM, cost $5.00
• 5K Racewalk: Starts at 6:40 PM, cost $10 (2 Mile on 8/3)
• 5K Run: Starts at 6:45 PM, cost $10.00 (2 Mile on 8/3)

Attendance Notes

NOTE: All on-site registration will be $10.

Parking Information

Please enter via South Lake Road and park behind St. Michael’s Church, located at 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ.

Results Information

RESULTS will be posted 1-2 days after each race on the Shore A.C. website at www.shoreac.org under "Our Events".
