Westerwood 5K

Race Information

The Westerwood 5K is on November 8, 2026 at 2:00pm and welcomes all runners, joggers, walkers, and - new this year - chariot racers! This event takes participants on a unique tour of historic Westerwood. Sites include the mural of Bollywood actress Madhubala, Guilford County’s oldest house, the Fairmont Street bridge, the Westerwood roundabout, the Lake Daniel Greenway, and of course, the start and finish at the Double Oaks house, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Awards

There will be music at the start line and along the 5K course.

There will be many on course displays and signs to keep you inspired!

Water Stops

Located approximately at miles 1 and 2 of the 5K course. Water will also be provided at the finish line.

Packet Pickup and Race Day Details

Early Packet Pickup

We STRONGLY encourage you to pick up your race packet on Saturday, November 7 to avoid race day delays.

Saturday, November 7 from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Fleet Feet, 3731 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC US 27455.

Race Day Registration

Sunday, November 8 from 12:30pm - 1:30pm. Contactless mobile phone self-registration available on race day! Down Home North Carolina (Double Oaks house), 204 North Mendenhall Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.

Teams with 10+ entries as of October 25 will have their packets available in their tent on race day! You can skip packet pick up and go directly to your tent on Sunday.

Race Line Up and Start Times

1:45pm - Line up at start line for pre-race announcements.

1:57pm - Chariot 5K start.

2:00pm - Westerwood 5K start.

Race Day Parking

Parking is available at First Baptist Church parking lot, 1000 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401.
