Lifeline's R(un) for One 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event Start: Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Children’s Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather to raise awareness and support for vulnerable children around the world.
• Mission: Through Lifeline’s international orphan care ministry, children are being loved, equipped, and encouraged as they enroll in school, learn life skills, and hear the hope of the gospel.
• Date & Location: On Saturday, August 23rd, runners from across the country will lace up for this life-changing cause at 1114 Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham, AL. Whether you join us in Birmingham or choose to Run Where You Are, your miles matter!
• Family Fun: The race takes place at Dawson Church’s Recreation Center and runs through the streets of Edgewood in Homewood. It’s a fun-filled morning with bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and activities for the whole family.

🌍 Virtual Participation

• Run Where You Are: Prefer to run virtually? With our Run Where You Are option, you can participate from your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill—wherever you are!
• Race Packet: Virtual runners receive a race packet in the mail, including a T-shirt, bib, medal, and printable race-day resources.
• Timeframe: You can run anytime on or before August 23rd.
• Community Connection: Share your photos with #RunForOne and be part of the global Lifeline community standing for vulnerable children.

• 7:00 AM: Registration and Vendor Booths open
• 8:00 AM: 5K begins
• 8:45 AM: Fun Run begins
• 9:45 AM: Awards

• Top Overall Male/Female: Recognition for the fastest overall male and female runners.
• Age Group Awards: Top three Male/Female in each age group.
