UAB Veterans Day 5k

Join us on Saturday, November 8, 2025, for the 3rd Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K at Railroad Park — a meaningful community event dedicated to honoring those who have served and supporting the next generation of military-connected students.

Since launching in 2023, this event has raised over $20,000 and united more than 1500 participants and 200 volunteers in support of the UAB Veterans Relief Fund — a critical resource for student veterans and dependents facing unexpected hardships. Thanks to this community support, we've already distributed over $6,000 in direct relief to students in need — covering essentials like housing, books, and emergency expenses.

This year, we’re continuing our mission with even greater purpose.

Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, stroller, or wheelchair racer — all are welcome. Lace up to celebrate the 107th anniversary of Armistice Day, and join UAB Veteran Services in continuing a proud tradition that began right here in Birmingham in 1947.

Together, let’s show our veterans they are seen, valued, and supported — not just on Veterans Day, but every day.

Early Pickup: Nov 4–7, 9 AM–4 PM @ UAB Hill Student Center, Suite 313
Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:00 AM onsite
