🏃‍♂️ Event Details

Join us for our 16th Annual Trestle Hustle hosted by the Boone County Hospital Foundation. For the 2025 event, we are offering an in-person event and a virtual option.

👥 Participation Info

• Eligibility: All abilities are welcome, ages 14 and over. Participants of any age are welcome with a parent or guardian's signed consent.
• Accompaniment: Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the race.
• Options: Athletes can choose to complete a Duathlon (2-mile run, 14-mile bike, 2-mile run) OR a 5K or 10K run.
• Location: The event begins at 8:00 AM at the Madrid High Trestle Trail starting from Dalander Park / Johnson Trailhead (702 E 3rd St, Madrid, IA 50156).

⏱️ Timing and Categories

Our races will be chip-timed by True Time Racing Services. Age categories will be: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

💲 Registration Costs

Please Note: If you want to run over the High Trestle Trail Bridge, the 10K is the only race to cross the bridge.

• Earlybird Pricing: Available through May 17: $50 - 5K/10K, $60 – DUATHLON.
• Pricing After May 17: $60 - 5K/10K, $70 – DUATHLON.

🗓️ Virtual Participation

Virtual athletes will complete the race anytime between June 20-22.

To enter a virtual race time:

• Link Access: Go to the link (emailed to you).
• Name Search: Search for your name and click the "Submit Virtual Time" link next to your name.
• Time Submission: Enter your total running time and Date of Birth (to verify it is you).
• Optional Submission: Submit a STRAVA, Garmin, Fitbit link from your run.

🎖️ Packet Pick-Up

Day of Events: Staff will provide hand sanitizer, fresh wipes, trash cans and bags, and other necessary cleaning supplies. Handwashing stations and portable toilets will be provided.

Packet Pick-Up: Available as a "drive-thru" at Boone County Hospital on Friday, June 20, from 4 – 6 pm. Please contact us to make other arrangements if this time does not work for you. Packets will also be available the morning of the race, but we highly encourage athletes to pick them up before the race day if possible.

🍽️ Food and Awards

We will provide "grab and go" foods such as granola bars and bottled water.

Participants will receive a Finisher's Medal upon completion of the race.

We will also award both male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in each event and age category for the in-person event. Virtual participants will be mailed a finisher's medal the week of June 23, 2025.
