📝 DESCRIPTION

• Join: The Seashore Striders for one of the oldest 5m races in the area and in the STATE of DELAWARE in its 43rd year.
• History: This race was the longtime YMCA 5 miler that changed its name to the Henlopen 5 miler and then to the current Seashore 5 miler.
• Event: The 9th event in the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series, this year's Seashore 5 miler will be held "live".
• Purpose: The Seashore 5 miler is a great event raising money for local charities in the Cape Region.

🏃‍♂️ RACE LOCATION

• Address: GROVE PARK in REHOBOTH. FOLLOW RACE SIGNS.
• Fees: Daily Entrance Fees may be in effect at Cape Henlopen State Park if you plan to watch from Gordons Pond. Be prepared.
• Note: The Entrance Fee to the park has no tie to the event. The event is separate, so you may be charged as you enter the park without a State of DE pass.
• Annual Pass: State Parks in DE are beautiful: it would benefit you financially to buy an annual pass.

⏰ RACE TIME

• Start Time: 7:30 am

📝 RACE REGISTRATION

• Early Bird: $30.00 Registration through June 29th at midnight.
• Pre Registration: $35.00 from June 30th through July 12th at 10 pm.
• Last Chance: $40.00 Race-Day Registration open at 6:00 am and will close at 7:15 am.

Registration will be done online through runsignup. All participants registered by Monday, July 7th will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Registrations received after July 7th are "first come". Registration can also be done through the mail.

🎯 TO BENEFIT

• Impact: Local charities or individuals/families in need.

🏆 AWARDS

• Categories: Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), and the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in 16 age categories.
• Presentation: Awards will be presented within 20 minutes following the final runner crossing the finish.
• Distribution: If you miss the awards ceremony, you may pick up locally or have your award shipped for a cost of $10.

📜 REFUNDS/DEFERRAL

• Policy: The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, but you can transfer to a future event, donate your entry fee, or defer to the following year.
