2025 Lake Chabot Trail Challenge (Half Marathon & 5K)

🏃‍♂️ Race Info

• Event Date: June 1, 2025
• Start Times: 8:00 AM for the Half Marathon, 8:30 AM for the 5K
• Location: 17404 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley, CA
• Parking: Arrive early for parking and bib pick-up

🌄 Race Course

• Half Marathon: Scenic, hilly loop on dirt fire roads with ridge-line views
• 5K Course: Out and back course with gentle rolling hills, mostly paved
• Water Stations: Available for both races with first aid and radio support
• Time Limit: Half Marathon has a limit of 3.5 hours

💵 Race Fee

• Pre-registration: T-shirt guaranteed if registered by May 4, 2025
• 5K Fee: $40 pre-registered, $45 on race day
• Half Marathon Fee: $60 pre-registered, $65 on race day
• Parking Fee: Approximately $5 for Chabot parking lot

📦 Race Packet & Bib Pick-up

• Pick-up Time: Sunday, June 1st starting at 7 AM
• Location: Willow picnic site (finish line area)
• Mailing: Race packets and bibs will not be mailed
• Chip-timed: Both races are chip-timed

👕 T-Shirt

• Inclusion: Short sleeve, high-quality t-shirts for registrations by May 4th
• No Guarantees: T-shirts not guaranteed for late registrations or on race day
• Size Check: Ensure to select the correct size: no exchanges available

🏅 Awards

• Finisher's Medals: Awarded to all who complete their race
• Age Division Medals: Top 3 in each of 12 age divisions for Half Marathon, 9 for 5K
