2025 Lake Chabot Trail Challenge (Half Marathon & 5K)

🏃‍♂️ Race Info

• Event Date: June 1, 2025
• Race Times: Half Marathon at 8am, 5K at 8:30am
• Location: 17404 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley, CA
• Parking: Please arrive early for parking and bib pick-up

🌲 Race Course

• Half Marathon: Scenic, hilly loop mainly on dirt fire roads
• Views: Ridge-line views of Lake Chabot, Mt. Diablo, and San Francisco Bay
• 5K Course: Out and back route with gentle rolling hills, mostly paved
• Water Stations: Available on both courses with first aid and radio support

💵 Race Fee

• Pre-registration: $40 for 5K, $60 for Half Marathon by May 4, 2025
• Race Day Registration: $45 for 5K, $65 for Half Marathon
• Payment Options: Cash, check, or Venmo for race day registration
• Parking Fee: Nominal fee of approximately $5 for Chabot parking lot

📦 Race Packet &: Bib Pick-Up

• Pick-Up Time: Starts at 7am on race day at the Willow picnic site
• Chip Timing: Both races will be chip-timed
• Mailing: No race packets or bibs will be mailed out
• Location: Finish line area will serve as the pick-up point

👕 T-Shirt

• Inclusion: Entry fee includes a t-shirt for pre-registrants by May 4th
• No Guarantees: T-shirts not guaranteed for registrations after May 4th
• Size Selection: Carefully select your size: no exchanges available
• Post-Race Check: Those without a shirt should check in after the race

🏅 Awards

• Finisher Medals: Awarded to all participants who complete their race
• Age Division Medals: Given to the top 3 finishers in each age division
• Categories: 12 age divisions in the half marathon, 9 in the 5K
• Recognition: Celebrate your achievements with medal awards

• Access: Participants will receive an email post-race for photo purchasing
