Oakland Tech 5km Fundraiser Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Support the Oakland Tech Cross Country and Track Team by running a 5k trail race or 1 mile fun run/walk in Joaquin Miller Park on November 2rd, 2024. The location offers beautiful scenery and towering trees for leisurely racers but a challenge for competitive runners. The OT Cross Country team is organizing the race as a fundraiser to fund meet entry fees, training equipment, nutrition and travel expenses for away races.

🏆 Team Achievements

• Recent Success: Both of our varsity XC teams placed first in the Oakland Championship race for the past two years.
• Track Team: The boys track team won OAL Track and Field Championships in 2024.
• Future Goals: We look forward to continuing that performance this season.

🎟️ Event Details

• Bib Pick-up: Saturday, November 1nd, 2pm-4pm @ Transports or Sunday, November 2rd, 8:30am @ Joaquin Miller Meadow.
• Date: November 2rd, 2024.
• Fun Run/Walk Start: 1 mile Fun Run/Walk Race Start: 9:00 am.
• Trail Race Start: 5 km Trail Race Start: 9:30 am.
