Cape Carteret Turkey Trot "Run For Relief"

🎉 Welcome to the Cape Carteret Turkey Trot!

Get your costumes ready and get your flock together to enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving morning together. Walk, run, or strut 5k or 1 mile on a course through the beautiful Star Hill area. This is NOT a timed event. It is just plain fun, family, and community. Flock Registration is a good way to get the whole family active on Thanksgiving morning and burn calories for the rest of the day! Register as a flock, and your flock will be entered to win the best-dressed flock at the race!

🏃‍♀️ Course Information

• Course Type: Flat and fast 5k or a 1 mile out-and-back through Star Hill.
• First 200 Registrations: Guaranteed one of our famous race shirts, with a maximum of two shirts per flock.
• Shirt Description: Black short-sleeved cotton tee-shirt with our Turkey Trot race logo on the front and our local sponsors on the back.
• Special Design: This year's shirt highlights how Eastern NC is reaching out to our Western NC Communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

🏆 Awards

• 1st Male: To cross the 5k finish line wins a pumpkin pie!
• 1st Female: To cross the 5k finish line wins a pumpkin pie!
• Best Dressed Flock: Wins a pumpkin pie!
• Best Dressed Turkey: Wins a...... Yes, (you guessed it) A PUMPKIN PIE!!

📍 Event Details

We will call participants when the packets are ready. Pick-up will be available during staffed hours. Start/Finish Area is located at The GYM Cape Carteret Aquatic & Wellness, 300 Taylor Notion Road, Cape Carteret, NC 28584.

🗓️ Registration Information

• Registration Deadline: Closes on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 6:00 pm.
• Online Registration: Preferred.
• Post Registration Packet Pick-Up: Registrants after November 26th can pick up race packets on November 27, IF SHIRTS ARE OUT OF STOCK, NEW REGISTRANTS WILL BE GIVEN OTHER ITEMS IN COMPENSATION.
• Payment Methods: Cash, check, or credit cards accepted.

💧 Course Support

Water and Aid Stations will be set up throughout the course.
