Race Description

• Purpose: Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program.
• Route: We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers.
• Proceeds: All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program.
• Participation: Not a runner, then come out and stroll for a good cause and enjoy all the festivities.

Teams

• New Feature: New for this year we will have teams for Schools and businesses!
• Team Options: Create a Run/Walk Team, or a School Team, or a Business Team.
• Discount: Once the 5th member registers, the first 4 members will receive a $5 refund on their registration.
• Team Prize: The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.

Registration Information

• Pre-registration Cost: $30
• Race Day Rate: $35
• Registration Deadline: Pre-registration ends on March 19th, 2025 at 7:00pm.
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 3/11/25.

Post-Race Activities

• Event: Stick around for the all-day Hopefest music festival.
• Food: Boiled crawfish, jambalaya, BBQ available.
• Activities: Fun jumps, face-painting, kids games, and much more.
• Parking: Parking available at the Sports Complex.

Packet Pickup

• STM Students: Packet Pickup at STM High School on Friday, March 20th from 11:30am till 2:45pm.
• General Public: Race Packet Pickup from 3:00p - 5:30pm at STM High School.
• Race Morning Pickup: Available at Youngsville Sport Complex Slemco Amphitheatre starting at 7:30 am.

Awards

• Certificates: Award certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups.
• Cash Prizes: Cash prizes for the overall winner in the male and female category.
• Age Groups: 9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
• Timing: The race is professionally chipped timed by Pelican Timing.

Donations

• Charitable Donations: Charitable donations to support the cause for special needs kids will be available at the race.
