❤️ About the Race

• Charity: Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program.
• Course: We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers.
• Proceeds: All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program.
• Participation: Not a runner? Come out and stroll for a good cause and enjoy all the festivities.

👥 Teams - New for this Year!

• Create a Team: Invite family and friends to join your run/walk team.
• Refund: Once the 5th member registers, the first 4 members will receive a $5 refund on their registration.
• Team Registration: Everyone after that who joins will only pay $25 for their registration.
• Largest Team: The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.

💲 Registration

• Cost: Pre-registration cost is $30, and the walk-up rate on race day is $35.
• Deadline: Pre-registration ends on March 19th, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 3/11/26: after that, it will be "first come first serve."
• Festivities: Stick around after the race for the all-day Hopefest music festival.

🚗 Parking

• Location: Parking available at the Sports Complex.

📦 Packet Pickup

• For STM: Packet Pickup will be held at STM High School located at 450 E. Farrel Rd, Lafayette, LA for STM Students, Family, & Employees on Friday, March 20th from 11:30 AM till 2:45 PM.
• For Supporters: Race Packet Pickup for the general public from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM.
• Race Morning: Packet pickup on race morning at the Youngsville Sports Complex Slemco Amphitheatre starting at 7:30 AM.

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Award certificates will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups.
• Overall Winner: Cash prizes will be given to the overall winner in the male and female category.
• Age Groups: 9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.

🕑 Timing and Donations

• Timing: The race is professionally chipped timed by Pelican Timing.
• Donations: Charitable donations will be available at the race to support the cause for special needs kids.
