❤️ Race Overview

• Event: Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program.
• Venue: This year’s race will be held at the Youngsville Sports Complex Slemco Amphitheatre.
• Course: We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers.
• Purpose: All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program. Not a runner? Come out and stroll for a good cause!

👥 Team Registration

• New Teams: New for this year, we will have teams for Schools and businesses!
• Team Creation: Create a Run/Walk Team, or a School Team, or a Business Team and invite family and friends to join.
• Incentive: Once the 5th member registers, the first 4 members receive a $5 refund on their registration.
• Pricing: Teams with additional members will only pay $25 for registration. The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.

💰 Registration Costs

• Pre-registration: $30
• Walk-up Rate: $35 on race day.
• Deadline: Pre-registration ends on March 19th, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 3/11/26: after that, it's "first come, first served".

🎶 Post-Race Festivities

• Festival: Stick around after the race for the all-day Hopefest music festival.
• Food: Enjoy boiled crawfish, jambalaya, BBQ, fun jumps, face-painting, kids games, and much more.
• Parking: Parking available at the Sports Complex.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Location: Packet Pickup will be held at STM High School located at 450 E. Farrel Rd, Lafayette, LA on Friday, March 20th from 11:30 AM till 2:45 PM.
• General Public: Race Packet Pickup for supporters will be from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Enter through the Front doors then turn left to the Mall for pickup.
• Race Day: Packet pickup on race morning starts at 7:30 AM at the Youngsville Sport Complex Slemco Amphitheatre.

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Award certificates will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups.
• Cash Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded to the overall winner in the male and female category.
• Age Groups: 9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
• Timing: The race is professionally chip-timed by Pelican Timing.

🎗️ Charitable Donations

• Support: Charitable donations to support the cause for special needs kids will be available at the race.
