Join the UNC Student National Dental Association in the annual Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Sunday April 6th, 2025 at 7:30AM!

🎗️ Purpose

Honoring: UNC Adam’s School of Dentistry’s very own oral cancer survivor, Dr. Scott Eidson.
Proceeds: All proceeds will be donated to Dr. Aimin Peng's research lab within ASOD which primarily focuses on oral cancer and DNA repair.
Impact: Your support - whether by signing up and running, donating, or both - has such an important impact on advancing research about oral cancer.

🗓️ Event Details

When: Sunday April 6, 2025 at 7:30AM EST (rain or shine)
Where: Campus Y, 180 E Cameron Ave, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
Parking: Any lot nearby is open and free on Sundays (ex. Swain Lot, Hanes Lot). You can also park anywhere on Franklin St and walk over!
Race Route: The running route will be the Franklin 5K, a USATF-certified course. Electronic chip timing will be used. Strollers and wagons welcome.

💳 Payment & Registration

Pre-registration: $25.00 + $3.25 processing fees *(by Friday, April 4th)
Day-of registration: $30.00 + $3.25 processing fees *(starting at 6:30am on Sunday, April 6th)
Check-in: Day-of registration will be available 7:00-7:30AM on race-day at the check-in table.
T-Shirt: Participants who pre-register by Monday, March 17th will be guaranteed a free T-shirt.

🏅 Awards

Prizes will be given to the overall first, second, and third place male and female runners, as well as the top two male and female runners in each age group: under 19, 20-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65+.

💡 Important Payment Information

* The website's processing fee is reduced if you register more people per transaction. For example, if you register your friend and yourself in one transaction, the fee is reduced from $3.25 to $1.62.
