Remote Area Medical (RAM) at UVA is excited to announce the fourth annual RAM @ UVA 5K on Sunday, April 5, 2026!

About RAM

• Organization: RAM is a nonprofit organization that provides free healthcare to those in need through mobile clinics offering medical, dental, and vision services to underserved and uninsured individuals.
• History: Since it was founded in 1985, RAM’s Corps consists of more than 212,000 volunteers.
• Impact: Licensed dental, vision, and medical professionals have treated more than 940,000 individuals, delivering over $200 million worth of free care.

Our Mission

• Clinic Goals: As a chapter of RAM, our goal is to promote that mission and host a biennial free clinic in Fishersville, VA.
• Inaugural Clinic: We successfully hosted our inaugural clinic in November 2022, providing over 500 patients with $250,000 in medical care.
• Second Clinic: Our second clinic in April 2024 served over 400 patients, providing the equivalent of $225,000 in free healthcare.
• Funding Needs: The cost of hosting our clinic is approximately $25,000, and we are actively working to raise these funds.

Race Details

• Online Results: All in-person participants will have their timing results available online after the race.
• Refreshments: Participants will receive refreshments and a T-shirt (first 60 sign-ups) on race day while supplies last.
• Prizes: The top three finishers will receive a prize donated by local Charlottesville businesses.
• Timing: Bib and T-shirt pickup will begin at 12:30 pm on race day. Participants must start the 5K by 1:15 PM and finish no later than 2:30 PM.

Registration Info

• Price Increase: Price to register will increase after March 2, 2025, so make sure to sign up as soon as you can!
• Participation: Whether you decide to participate in person or virtually, all proceeds from the race will go towards funding for our next clinic.
• Community Impact: Your involvement helps bring the mission of RAM closer to the Charlottesville community!
