Race Like A Wildcat! 5k

🏃 Race Overview:

• Event: University Elementary is proud to bring back their 5K race on a flat and fast course!
• Community: Please join us to gather the community for an opportunity to run, race and have a good time.
• Fundraising: Funds raised will go towards continuing to add to our inclusive playground, beautifying our campus, and replacing the Temporary Buildings with a multipurpose building.

📅 Race Date:

Saturday, April 5th, 2025

At University Elementary School, 9900 Smitherman Drive, Shreveport, LA 71115

⏰ Start Times:

• 1/2 Mile Fun Run: 8:00 a.m.
• 5K: 8:15 a.m.

🏞️ Course Description:

• 5K Run: The 5K Run will begin in the parking lot of the school.
• Route: It will proceed through the neighborhood and end back at the school!

💵 Entry Fee:

• 5K Registration: All ages can register for the 5K.
• Pricing: $25 through March 14th (includes T-shirt).
• Late Registration: $30 from March 15th to Race Day, April 5th.

🛏️ Sleep in Supporter:

• If you cannot be there and want to give support, pricing is the same as the 5K registration (t-shirt included).

👦👧 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run: (ages 10-under)

• Start Point: The Fun Run will start in front of the school.
• Registration Fee: $20 through March 14th (includes T-Shirt).
• Late Registration: $25 from April 15th to Race Day, March 2nd.
• Participation: Certificates will be given to each participant that crosses the finish line!

📝 Registration:

• Online: Available on the race website.
• In Person: At Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport.
• Race Morning: Registration at University Elementary School starting at 7:00 a.m.

📦 Race Packet Pick-Up:

• Thursday, April 3rd, 10:00 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Sportspectrum.
• Friday, April 4th, 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Sportspectrum.
• Race day from 7:00 a.m.-7:45 a.m. at the race site, University Elementary.

🏆 Awards: 5K:

• Overall Winners: Overall male and female winners will receive $100 cash each.
• Runner Ups: Overall runner up male and female will receive $50 cash each.
• Trophies: 1st and 2nd place male and female 5K winners will receive a trophy in various age divisions.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration:

• Join the Wildcat families after the race for awards, water, snacks, and music!
