Caldwell in Color 5K 2025

🎉 Event Overview

The Caldwell Classic Color Run is organized by students from the National Honor Society and their teachers at Saint Pope John Paul II Preparatory School. We are coming together as a community to raise funds for The Jason Foundation, who calls Hendersonville their home. The Jason Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs that equip young people, educators/youth workers and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth.

🌈 Race Details

• Event Type: The Color Run is a fivish-kilometer, untimed event.
• Experience: Participants are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder.
• Dress Code: Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color.
• Alternative Routes: For those who prefer not to participate in the color aspect, routes are available to enjoy the sites of those passing through the color stations.

📅 Event Schedule

• Bib Pickup: Participants will be able to pick up their bibs, t-shirts, and race bags on Thursday 4/24 during school lunch and from 3:00-3:30 pm by the main office.
• Late Registration: If family or friends would like to join, late registrations will be available on-site but t-shirts cannot be guaranteed.
• Arrival Time: Please arrive at JPII by 8:40 am at the latest.
• Starting Line: The starting line will be at the lower soccer field: the race starts at 9 am.

🚧 Course Information

• Surface Types: Be prepared to walk/run on different surfaces such as asphalt, gravel, and grass.
• Stroller Access: The course is not friendly for traditional strollers: we do not recommend bringing dogs since the color is not good for them.
• Clothing Warning: If you choose the color route, your clothes will stain, particularly if you wear white.
• Cleaning Resources: We will have leaf blowers available which effectively remove powder from skin, hair, and clothes.

🕶️ Safety Considerations

• Eye Protection: PLEASE WEAR EYEGLASSES AND A BANDANA TO COVER EYES AND MOUTH WHILE PASSING THROUGH COLOR STATIONS.
• Car Protection: Bring sheets or towels to protect your car seats.
• Prizes: Stick around for prizes around 10 am!
• Raffle: Go to the "raffle table" to enter your name for the opportunity to win awesome prizes!
