ABWR has teamed up with two local charities to help with fire relief efforts. Portion of proceeds will go to California Community Foundation and Pasadena Humane Society.

It's time for our Winter Blast 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon run/walk!!

📅 Event Schedule

• Date: Sunday, August 3rd, 2025
• Bib Pick Up: 7:00-7:30 AM
• Start Time: 7:30 AM
• Results: Everyone will get a time and place on our results page at: www.abetterworldrunning.com

📸 Race Experience

• Photos: We take pictures that are free to download on our Facebook page.
• Environment: We emphasize a more relaxed, fun and personal racing experience!
• Official Times: Official times and places will be posted on our website: www.abetterworldrunning.com
• Policies: NO REFUNDS, NO BANDITS PLEASE.

🗺️ Course Details

• Course Map: The course is super easy to follow. It will consist of counter clockwise loops around the beach path that will be marked.
• 5k: 1 loop
• 10k: 2 loops
• 15k: 3 loops. Map: 5k, 10k, 15k Course

🏅 Half Marathon

• Distance: Half marathon is 3 x 4.36 mile loops.
• Map: Half Marathon Course

📍 Location and Parking

• Address: 2000 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA
• Parking Meters: Meters on the street are free until 9 AM. After 9 AM, you are responsible for paying for the parking meter with quarters or credit cards.
• Street Sweeping: On Saturday there is street sweeping from 7-9 AM. Please check the signs on the meters to indicate where there is no parking.
• Beach Parking: The beach parking lot has a flat fee that can be paid through the machine, with prices varying from $8-$12 depending on the season.
