The Virginia Dream Mile is about celebrating the great distance of the mile. A race requiring fitness, strength, and speed. A distance with historical significance and that is challenging in its intensity. The Virginia Dream Mile has races for all ages and abilities and at the end of the meet, watch the pros compete! • Rain Date: Sunday June 15, 2025

⏰ Event Details

• Time: 3:00pm-10:00pm
• Cost: $20 by May 25 / $30 by June 9 / $40 late
• Check-in: Main entrance to the Patriot Track & Field Complex. No race day registration.
• Spectator Fee: $6 individual per person (those under age 7 are free).

🎤 Meet Announcer & Music

A race announcer will introduce each runner, call each race, and announce the awards. The track will be thumping with a DJ.

🚻 Facilities

• Restroom Facilities: Available on site. Locker-rooms / shower facilities will not be available.
• Concessions: Will be available.
• Timing System: A Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) system will be used for this event.
• Entry Limitations: All runners will be limited to racing 1 event.

🕒 Schedule

• 3:00 pm – Parking Lot Opens & Check-In
• 4:45 pm – Elementary School Mile (K-2nd)
• 6:00 pm – Girls Middle School Mile (6th-8th grade)
• 9:36 pm – Men's Super Mile - Heat 2

🏆 Awards

The winner of each race will win the coveted pineapple. The Ancient Olympic Games had the victory wreath. The Indianapolis 500 has the jug of milk. The Masters has the green jacket. And the Virginia Dream Mile has the coveted pineapple! It is a great looking piece of fruit and fun to hold on a victory stand.

• Super Mile Prize Money: 1st place: $1000, 2nd place: $500, 3rd place: $300, 4th place: $150, 5th place: $75
• BONUS: Sub 4:00 Mile Males winner / sub 4:30 Mile Female winner Bonus: $500 for 1st place finisher
• Special Awards: Fastest Family, Fastest Couple, Fastest High School
• Master's Money Mile: Top finisher: $100, based on age-graded results.
