The 1st Annual Lafayette, LA Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the beautiful Moncus Park in celebration of World Ostomy Day.

🎉 Event Activities

• Family Friendly: This event will include lots of fun and laughter, local vendors, food, music and celebration, so be sure to bring your entire family!
• Charity Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.

👕 Registration Details

DON'T DELAY, REGISTER TODAY! We cannot guarantee size and availability of the 2026 World Ostomy Day & Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k T-shirts after Wednesday, September 4th!

• Early Bird Fee: The Early Bird Registration Fee of $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children ages 12 and under, includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib with timing chip, and runner "swag" bag.
• Pricing Reminder: Don’t delay, register today to guarantee availability in your t-shirt size!

🚗 Parking

Parking is available for a small fee ($2/hour or a maximum daily fee of $10) and parking is FREE for "Friends of Moncus Park" members. Handicap parking and ADA-accessible pathways are available. To learn more about Moncus Park, please visit their website www.moncuspark.org.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up schedules will be posted closer to the date of the event. Same day registration will be available before the start of the run, which will be $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children.

🏆 Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates.

🎽 Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team!

Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you!

💰 Fundraising

Raise $125 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 Million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country.

📢 Run Referral Program

Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page. The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event, so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!
