The 1st Annual Lafayette, LA Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the beautiful Moncus Park in celebration of World Ostomy Day.

🎉 Event Details

• Family Friendly: This family friendly event will include lots of fun and laughter, local vendors, food, music and celebration so be sure to bring your entire family!
• Charity Support: All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.

💰 Early Bird Registration

• Discount Pricing: Don't delay, register today to take advantage of early bird pricing through July 25th!
• Registration Fees: The Early Bird Registration Fee of $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for children.
• Inclusions: Includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib with timing chip, and runner swag bags.

🚗 Parking

• Parking Fee: Parking is available for a small fee ($2/hour or a maximum daily fee of $10).
• Free Parking: Parking is FREE for "Friends of Moncus Park" members.
• Accessibility: Handicap parking and ADA-accessible pathways are available.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up schedules will be posted closer to the date of the event. Same day registration will be available before the start of the run, which will be $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children.

🏆 Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates.

🎒 Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly, an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team

Once you’ve registered, you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

💵 Fundraising

• Fundraising Goal: Raise $125 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!
• Important Aspect: Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K.
• Support: Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
• Setup Fundraiser: We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page.
