2nd Annual Lafayette, LA Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K

The 2nd Annual Lafayette, LA Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the beautiful Moncus Park in celebration of World Ostomy Day.

Event Highlights

• Family Friendly: This event will include lots of fun and laughter, local vendors, food, music, and celebration so be sure to bring your entire family!
• Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Race Day Schedule

• Early Bird Registration: The Early Bird Registration Fee of $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for children includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib with timing chip, and runner swag bags.
• Register Early: Don’t delay, register today to guarantee availability in your t-shirt size and save!

Race Course

Parking

• Availability: Parking is available for a small fee ($2/hour or a maximum daily fee of $10).
• Free Parking: Parking is FREE for "Friends of Moncus Park" members.
• Accessibility: Handicap parking and ADA-accessible pathways are available.

Packet Pickup

• Schedule: Packet pick-up schedules will be posted closer to the date of the event.
• Same Day Registration: Available before the start of the run at $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children.

Prizes

• Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers.
• Top Ostomates: Special awards for the top Male and Female Ostomates.

Optional Ostomy Pouch

• Registration Bags: Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items and ostomy education materials.
• Awareness: We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

Race Group/Team

• Create or Join: Once you’ve registered, you have the option to create a new Race Group/Team or to join one that’s already been established.
• Compete Together: This is a great way to get others in your community to register to participate in the run and compete against each other.
• Invite Friends: Invite family, friends, co-workers to register, order their T-Shirt & Bib, and celebrate the day with you!

Fundraising

• Refund Offer: Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!
• Support UOAA: Fundraising helps UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy, and support to the ostomy community.
• Set Up Fundraiser: You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL to direct friends and family.

Fundraising Incentives

• Empower Level: Raise $250 or more.
• Champion Level: Raise $450 or more.
• Awards: Fundraising awards TBD.
• Bonus: Champion level fundraisers will also receive the Empower level fundraising award.
