Heroes Run (10K / 5K / 1 Mile)

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The South Florida First Responders Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is hosting a benefit race to make a positive impact on the mental health needs of South Florida first responders. They have always been there for you: now is an opportunity for you to be there for them. This is a community event. We will be hosting a fun run, a 1-mile run, a 5K, and a 10K race. We hope to have 2,000 participants, including runners, walkers, and spectators, from local running communities as well as Police, Fire Rescue, Ocean Rescue, and military agencies throughout South Florida.

💰 Beneficiary Information

• Nonprofit Status: The foundation is a nonprofit itself.
• Donation Recipients: All proceeds, minus vendor fees, will be donated to the Broward Sheriff's Office Benevolent Association, the Pompano Beach Fire Rescue Benevolent Association, and the Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue Benevolent Association.
• Stomping Out the Stigma: A portion of the proceeds will also go to "Stomping Out the Stigma", providing free confidential counseling services to First Responders.
• Support Dogs: Donations will help the Florida chapter of "First Responders Foundation", which provides emotional support dogs to first responders in need.
