Heroes Run (10K / 5K / 1 Mile)

🏃‍♂️ The Race Overview

The South Florida First Responders Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is hosting a benefit race to make a positive impact on the mental health needs of South Florida first responders. They have always been there for you: now is an opportunity for you to be there for them. This is a community event. We will be hosting a fun run, a 1-mile run, a 5K, and a 10K race. We hope to have 2,000 participants, including runners, walkers, and spectators, from local running communities as well as Police, Fire Rescue, Ocean Rescue, and military agencies throughout South Florida.

🎗️ Beneficiary Information

• Proceeds: All proceeds, minus vendor fees, will be donated to the Broward Sheriff's Office Benevolent Association, the Pompano Beach Fire Rescue Benevolent Association, and the Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue Benevolent Association.
• Support for First Responders: A portion of the proceeds will go to "Stomping Out the Stigma," providing free counseling services to First Responders whose mental health has been compromised.
• Confidentiality: The counseling services are 100% confidential and do not furnish invoices with names, report back to any departments, or share any information with insurance companies.
• Emotional Support: Funds will also support the Florida chapter of "First Responders Foundation," which rescues and provides free emotional support dogs to first responders in need.
