🐾 About CARA

• Purpose: Fundraising to support Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA)
• History: Operating since 2004, focusing on stray and abandoned animals
• Funding: No public funding: all proceeds aid animal care
• Impact: Over 400 animals found homes in 2024

🏅 Race Details

• Courses: Challenging 5k and 10k through Historic Sanford
• Challenge: Option to run both courses with special recognition
• Virtual Option: Run on your own schedule with course maps available
• Participation: Leashed dogs and strollers welcome

👟 Walking and SLEEP Option

• Walking: 5k can be walked: brisk pace encouraged
• Sleep Option: Support CARA by sleeping in: t-shirt mailed to you
• Benefits: Help improve lives of unwanted animals
• Experience: Comfort of home while supporting a good cause

🕖 Schedule

• 5k Start: 7:30 AM
• 10k Start: 8:15 AM
• Challenge Participants: Start with 5k at 7:30, wait for 10k
• Registration: Opens at 6:30 AM on race day

👕 Registration Details

• T-shirt: Optional for additional $5 (no charge for Virtual/Sleep/Challenge)
• Size Guarantee: Register by August 10th
• Pickup: No advance packet/BIB pickup: all on race day
