Event Overview

Run, walk, or wag! Join us for the second annual 5K at Cacapon State Park to support the Humane Society of Morgan County. Scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 10 a.m., this event is not to be missed.

New Features This Year

• New course: Enjoy a revamped route this year.
• Awards ceremony: Celebrate achievements at our awards presentation.
• Free pup swim: Dogs can enjoy a swim in the lake following the race.

Course Description

Lace up your shoes, leash up your pup, and hit the trails for a scenic 5K adventure through the woods on the High School’s official cross-country course. Beginning with a gentle incline near the Lodge, the route winds through beautiful forested terrain, showcases stunning fall views, and takes you past the upper lake before looping back to the start.

Participation Information

Designed for all ages and activity levels, this course is perfect for runners, walkers, and four-legged friends alike—so come enjoy the fresh air, take in the scenery, and move at your own pace for a great cause.

Registration Details

• Registration: Advanced registration encouraged. Day-of/onsite registration is $50. T-shirts may not be available.
• Volunteers Needed: We have seated and standing positions available and welcome groups, families, etc. Sign up HERE.
• Pet Memorial: Honor a beloved pet for just $197 right HERE.
