Above the Clouds 5K

Event Overview

SPARC presents, our 4th annual Above the Clouds 5K in honor of Dr. Albert K. Lin.

Purpose of the Event

• Awareness: Please join us for our annual run/walk as we raise awareness to brain cancer.
• Honor Dr. Lin: Remember and honor Dr. Albert K. Lin, who inspires us to live life to the fullest.
• Finish Strong: Complete the race in a manner worthy of a prize that lasts for eternity.

Charity Contribution

• Donation: A portion of your registration fee will be donated to www.braintumor.org.
• Mission: This organization invests in and unites the brain tumor community.
• Goals: Discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers.

Race Details

• Timed Event: The 5K will be a timed event with prizes for top finishers.
• Participation: Open to all levels of fitness: all are welcome to run or walk.
• Virtual Option: Join our virtual event if you cannot attend in person: virtual participants will also receive a shirt and finisher medal.
• Early Registration: Register before May 6th, 2026, to receive a discount and guarantee your shirt size.

Post-Race Celebrations

Stay after the race and join us for a post-race event with food available for purchase from Flippin' Hangry and Bear House Coffee.

Packet Pickup Information

• Date and Time: Packet pickup will be on Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 3:45pm to 8pm.
• Location: DICK's House of Sport in Chesapeake, 1501 Sentinel Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
• Important: THERE IS NO DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP.
