Above the Clouds 5K

Event Overview

SPARC presents our 4th annual Above the Clouds 5K in honor of Dr. Albert K. Lin.

Purpose of the Event

• Aim: Raise awareness about brain cancer.
• Honor: Remember and honor Dr. Albert K. Lin.
• Inspiration: Dr. Lin inspires us to live life to the fullest.
• Legacy: Finish the race in a manner worthy of an eternal prize.

Registration and Donations

• Donation: A portion of your registration fee will be donated to www.braintumor.org.
• Mission: They unite the brain tumor community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers.
• Prizes: The 5K will be a timed event with prizes for top finishers.
• Incentives: All registrants will receive a race shirt and finisher medal.

Event Details

• Open to Everyone: The 5K is open to all fitness levels: everyone is welcome to run or walk.
• Virtual Participation: Virtual participants will also receive a shirt and finisher medal.
• Children's Dash: Little ones can sign up for the 100 yard dash and will receive a special reward.
• Early Registration: Register before May 6th, 2026, to receive a discount and guarantee shirt size.

Post-Race Celebration

Stay after and join us for a post-race gathering with food available for purchase from Flippin' Hangry and Bear House Coffee.

Packet Pickup Information

• Date and Time: Packet pickup will be on Friday, June 5th, 2026, from 3:45 PM to 8 PM.
• Location: DICK's House of Sport in Chesapeake, 1501 Sentinel Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
• Important: THERE IS NO DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP.
